Joseph Glenn leads is tied for the tournament lead at 4-under at the Joust at Goose Creek, hosted by Cal Baptist.Ā The Vandals finished the opening two rounds tied for sixth at 21-over.
"Glenn, being tied for the lead, I think he's going to go out tomorrow and give it his all," said head coach
David Nuhn.Ā "He has a good chance of winning, which would be really exciting.
"Overall, I feel really positive about today. I think part of that is because I saw how much improvement we have opportunity for.Ā There were times we hit shots in the wrong spots, I thought we didn't execute shots that I believe these guys are capable of.Ā I think we hit too many tee shots in spots that we just have to avoid.Ā And these guys know that stuff and they're going to improve through the spring."

Glenn began the day with a first-round 69 to sit in a tie for third.Ā He opened with back-to-back bogies on 11 and 12, but responded well with birdies on 5 and 6 to get under par.Ā He improved in the second round at 3-under 67 to move into first.Ā Birdies on 14 and 15 got Glenn off to a strong start, and he eventually got to 4-under after birdies on the first and third holes.Ā Glenn is tied for first with Omaha's Witchayapat Sinsrang.

Jack Plaster was consistent on day one with a pair of 72's to finish tied for 19
th.Ā
Sean Langham and
Joel Veenstra are tied for 53
rd at 11-over.Ā Veenstra began the day with an opening round 74, but stumbled in the second with a 7-over 77.Ā Langham opened with a 5-over 75 and shot a 6-over 76 to finish at 11-over.

TJ Patterson and
Colt Sherrell finished tied for 70
th and 72
nd, respectively.Ā
"Overall we're excited about tomorrow and some challenging weather conditions.Ā And this team is ready for that, which is great.Ā We're going to go out and do everything we can to improve our position and play like vandals."
