MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho soccer head coach
Jeremy Clevenger has announced the signing of
Jadyn Hanks to the Vandal squad for next season.
Â
Hanks, a native of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, scored 18 goals during her senior season at Konawaena High School, following up a 12-goal junior season. She was named Third Team All-State in 2020 and earned a spot on the All-BIIF League First Team. She was named the BIIF Championship Player of the Match. She also plays for Hawaii Surf SC.
Â
"We are very fortunate to add a player like Jadyn this late in the recruiting year. The first thing people are going to notice is her speed. She will automatically be one of the fastest players on the field in any game we play. We are very excited about Jadyn's potential," said Clevenger. "Jadyn is already very talented, but I think she is just starting to scratch the surface of what she can do as a soccer player. Jadyn should be an attacking threat the moment she steps foot on campus."
Â
"Jadyn is a very kind personality on and off the field. She's a very respectable and easy person to work with," said Hawaii Surf SC head coach, Shawn Kuroda. "Jadyn has to be one of the fastest players that has ever come through our club. Other college coaches used to say that she has 'Olympic type speed.' The University of Idaho got a good one in Jadyn. I can't wait to see what she can accomplish."
Â
Hanks also competed in track at Konawaena High School where she is a two-time academic Honor Roll member. She is the daughter of Akala and Steve Hanks.
