Vandals in the Pros - January 20, 2021

MOSCOW, Idaho – While women's basketball has had a red-hot start to the new year, winning four of their last five, this edition of Vandals in the Pros will focus on former women's basketball players and their successes at the professional level.

Maren Austgulen is a focal point for the Ulriken Eagles in the Norwegian League. Austgulen is scoring a healthy 10.7 points per game while bringing down 6.4 rebounds per game. Austgulen and the Ulriken Eagles are undefeated and sit at the top of the standings.

Mikayla Ferenz is leading the Musel Pikes to a hot start after starting off the season winning their first six games in the Luxembourg League. Ferenz is averaging a team-high 16.8 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game. Ferenz's season was put on pause and will pick back up in the spring. In the meantime, Ferenz is heading back to the states to work as an assistant coach for Whitman College.

Taylor Pierce plays for the Ringwood Hawks in the Australia State League awaiting the start of their season.
