Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Vandals fall at Washington

SEATTLE, Washington—Idaho women's tennis (0-2) fell to the University of Washington (2-0) 7-0 on Sunday afternoon in their second match of the season.
 
The Huskies won all three doubles sets to take the doubles point and go up 1-0 in the match.
 
Washington and the Vandals battled in singles, but the Huskies ultimately took all six singles matches to win 7-0 overall.

Laura Spataro battled in the No. 2 singles spot, winning the first set, 6-4. Her opponent, Sedona Gallagher eventually won the next two, winning the match.

"Saw a lot of improvements from some of the players today. We fought hard.They came at us with a good strong strategy and cudos to them on executing it," said Head Coach Babar Akbar. "I think we are moving in the right direction and need a few more matches to get settled in and get dialed in. This is exactly what we needed to give us an idea of where we stand and where we need to be in the next couple of weeks."
