Box Score MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals put up a strong fight against Montana's Grizzlies this evening during an intense and physical game. However, Montana's second-half goal pushed them to victory, 2-1.
Idaho had an impressive start to the match. In just the third minute,
Maddie Haas scored her second goal of the season, assisted by
Jadyn Hanks.
Montana answered back by quickly putting the pressure on and racking up a total of 22 shots throughout the match.
In the second half, two of these shots made their way into the net. Both goals were scored by Montana's Taylor Stoeger, one in the 46
th minute and one in the 51
st.
Despite the loss,
Avrie Fox had an outstanding game, tallying 12 saves.
Up next, the Vandals will be facing Northern Colorado on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. Not only will this be the last home game for Idaho this season, but also senior night. The event will occur in the dome following the game.
