MOSCOW, ID -- The Vandal men's basketball team cruised to a 108-68 victory against Yellowstone Christian College on Monday night in an exhibition contest at ICCU Arena.

Freshman newcomer Yusef Salih was the Vandals top scorer, off the bench, scoring 27 points, on 10-13 from the field and 4-6 from behind the arc. San Francisco transfer Trevante Anderson was another bright spot for the Idaho offense, adding 14 points and eight assists.

The night began with a 14-0 run from Idaho that was led by five quick points from guard Mikey Dixon. Another spurt later in the first half pursued as the Vandals used an 11-4 run to make the score 41-15 with just over five minutes remaining in the half. Idaho found themselves up 57-24 heading into the locker room after shooting 67% from the field and outscoring Yellowstone Christian 36-12 in the paint.

Idaho controlled the second half by shooting an efficient 57% from the field while using 18 fast-break points to top Yellowstone Christian, 108-68.

The Vandals will welcome Long Beach State for the inaugural regular-season game at the Idaho Central Credit Union (ICCU) Arena on Wednesday, November 10 at 6 p.m. The home opener will be broadcast on ESPN+.
