KYLE, Texas – University of Idaho's women's golf team is set to tee off for the first time since last March at the Texas State Invitational February 8-9 hosted by Texas State University. The two-day competition will be played at Plum Creek Golf Course, beginning with the first two rounds on Monday.
 
THE COURSE – Plum Creek Golf Course will be played as a par-72 across a 6,249-yard course.
 
THE FIELD – This 16-team tournament will feature Idaho, Texas State University, Houston, Tulsa, Rutgers, Wichita State, UTSA, Lamar, Little Rock, Central Arkansas, Incarnate Word, Houston Baptist, Sam Houston State, ULM, Texas A&M-Corpus Christian, and UTRGV. The weather conditions for this tournament will be mostly clear, with a slight chance of rain only on Monday.
 
THE LINEUP – Traveling to Kyle, Texas for the Vandals are juniors 
Vicky Tsai and 
Eddie Hsu, seniors 
Valeria Patino and 
Jaime Bellingham, and graduate student 
Laura Gerner.
 
LAST TIME ON THE GREEN – The last time the Vandals were out on the course was 11 months ago, securing a tie for fifth place at the BYU at Entrada Classic. 
Valeria Patino fired in a 2-under 70 on the final round of play, tying the best round of the day. Patino finished in a tie for 7th place in the individual rankings.
