FARMINGTON, Utah—For the second consecutive week,
Francisco Bascon has earned the Big Sky Conference Player of the Week honors as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
This is the second Player of the Week award for Bascon, in his second year with the Vandals. Bascon earned the award last week with two No. 1 singles wins and one No. 1 doubles win.
This week Bascon and the Vandals competed in just one match, blanking LCSC 7-0.
The Corboba, Spain native recorded a No. 1 singles win, 6-4, 6-2, and a No. 1 doubles win, 6-4, in the match.
Bascon is now 3-1 on the season in the No. 1 singles spot and 2-2 on the season in No. 1 doubles with his partner
Matteo Masala.
Bascon and the Vandals will host Seattle U and Boise State on back to back dates this weekend in Lewiston, beginning with the Redhawks on Saturday, Mar. 6, at 5 p.m.
