MOSCOW, Idaho – After graduating in 2019, Vandals golfer Sophie Hausmann claimed her first professional win at the IOA Championships in Beaumont, Calif. Through three rounds, Hausmann carded a 10-under, 206 to give her the sole possession of first place by three strokes.
 
Hausmann started off the IOA Championships on fire, as she carded in a 4-under, 68 in each of her first two rounds. In addition, Hausmann fired in two-eagles in her first 36 holes to accompany eight birdies heading into the final round.
 
Hausmann stayed consistent during the final round and picked up where she left off, firing in four birdies in her last 18 holes of play. A final round score of 2-under, 70 was enough for Hausmann to claim first place and secure her first professional win.
 
Hausmann will continue on the Symetra Tour and will be back on the course April 15 for the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic in Tucson, Ariz.
