UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – The University of Idaho men's golf team claims 9
th place after the conclusion of play at the Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay Golf Course. As a team, the Vandals carded a 29-over, 885 after the final 18 holes on Tuesday.

"I think today we had a better idea of what we needed to do," said head coach
David Nuhn. "The course played much differently today with some changes to tees and good pin placements. Execution and limiting our mistakes to only costing us one shot will be a good focus for the next event. Overall, I am very pleased with our progress through these early season events."

Graduate student
Sean Mullan lead the Vandals individually after a 4-over, 75 in the final round. Mullan finished in a tie for 25
th and finished with a three-round score of 3-over, 217. The best round of the day came from junior
Colt Sherrell, carding an even, 71 on his final round. After recording four birdies on Tuesday, Sherrell finished in a tie for 28
th with a final score of 4-over, 218.

Junior
Jack Plaster made a one stroke improvement from his previous round, carding a 3-over, 74 in his final 18 holes. Plaster finished in 48
th with a three-round score of 10-over, 224. Freshman
Jose Suryadinata finished with a total score of 16-over, 230 and placed in a tie for 63
rd. Sophomore
T.J. Patterson, who was golfing as an individual, finished his season debut with total score of 22-over, 236 and tied for 79
th. Freshman
Joe Gustavel had his best round of the tournament on Tuesday, carding a 6-over, 77. Gustavel finished in a tie for 83
rd with a total score of 27-over, 241.

San Francisco took home first place with a team score 14-under, 842. Individually, Soren Lind from San Francisco took home first place with a score of 5-under, 209.

The Vandals are back in action next week for the Wyoming Cowboy Classic starting on Monday down in Chandler, Ariz
