This is the third Player of the Week award for Bascon, in his second year with the Vandals.

The Corboba, Spain native opened the week with a 7-6 doubles win against Montana in the No. 1 spot on Friday, April 9, with his partner Bruno Casino.

In the second match of the week Bascon and Casino picked up another doubles win, defeating Montana State 6-3 in the No. 1 spot.

Bascon wrapped up the week with his eighth singles win of the season, defeating Joaquin Espinoza, 6-3, 6-3, in No. 1 singles. His efforts against the Bobcats helped the Vandals to a 4-3 win, improving to a 2-1 Big Sky record and a second place standing in the North division.

Bascon and the Vandals will close out the regular season this week against Portland State in Lewiston, seeking a birth into the Big Sky Championships.
