Valeria Patino are leading the Vandals after the first round of the Big Sky Championships at the Arrowhead Golf Club. As a team, the Vandals carded an opening round score of 20-over, 308 and sit in 5
th place.

Gerner carded the best opening round for the Vandals, carding a 2-over, 74 to tee off the Big Sky Championships. The Utah native rallied on the back nine, carding a 1-under in her final nine holes. Gerner sits in a tie for 7
th heading into the second round on Tuesday.

One stroke behind Gerner came senior
Valeria Patino after a 3-over, 75 opening round. The First Team All-Big Sky selection started on fire in her front nine, carding two birdies to give her a 1-over score after her first nine holes. Patino is tied for 12th with 36 holes left to play.

Sophomore
Eddie Hsu cracked the top-20 after her first 18 holes of play, carding a 6-over, 78. Hsu fired in one birdie on the back nine to help place her in a tie for 19
th heading into Tuesday. Graduate Student
Jaime Bellingham is tied for 39
th after a first-round score of 9-over, 81. Junior
Vicky Tsai is toed for 47
th with a score of 11-over 83.

Northern Arizona sits in first place with a team score of 8-over, 296. Individually, Corinne Viden from Sacramento State sits in the sole possession of first place with a score of one-under, 71.

The second round of the Big Sky Championship will begin Tuesday morning with a shotgun start.
