MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho Volleyball kicks off conference play on the road, heading south to Flagstaff to face Northern Arizona on Thursday evening and then head to Cedar City for a matchup against Southern Utah on Saturday. 

The match with the Lumberjacks (2-7) is slated for a 6:30 p.m. first serve while Saturday's matchup with the Thunderbirds (4-8) is set for 11 a.m.

Series Record

Entering Thursday's contest versus the Lumberjacks, the Vandals will look to improve upon a 12-18 all-time series record against their conference foe. During the weekend matchup with Southern Utah, Idaho Volleyball will look to continue it's dominance as the team has eight of nine matches since SUU joined the conference in 2012.

Last Time Out

The Vandals return back to the court after competing at the Jackrabbit Classic in South Dakota last weekend. The team went 1-2 on the trip highlighted by a five set victory over Southeastern Louisiana on the final day. 

Delaney Nicoll and Allison Munday helped lead the team to victory behind a combined 38 kills on the afternoon. For Nicoll, it was a career best in that department.

Scouting The Opposition

Northern Arizona enters the week with a 2-7 record with victories over New Mexico and UC Davis. Three of it's seven losses have come by Power Five opponents, winning one match against Arizona State and LSU. 

The Thunderbirds picked up wins against George Mason, Long Island, Dixie State and New Orleans during it's non-conference slate. Most recently, SUU fell to rival Dixie State last Saturday, 3-1. 

UP NEXT: Idaho will travel back home and continue conference play, as it faces Portland State (Sept. 30 at 6 p.m.) and Sacramento State (October 2 at 1 p.m.).
