MOSCOW, Idaho – A slow third quarter spelled trouble for the Idaho Vandals (3-11, 2-3) in a 60-56 loss to rival Idaho State (10-6, 6-1) in the ICCU Battle of the Domes at ICCU Arena Saturday afternoon.

Beyonce Bea layup cut the Idaho state lead to two at 37-35 with 3:10 left in the quarter. But the Bengals closed on a 11-0 run to extend the lead to 48-35.
"A horrible third quarter," head coach
Jon Newlee said. "We lost the game in the third, the turnover killed us tonight."
The Vandals committed 19 turnovers
The Vandals picked up the pace in the fourth quarter, trimming the lead to three with four minutes left in the game, but they couldn't get any closer as the Bengals made just enough shots down the stretch to hold on to the win.
"I love the way we came back in the fourth," Newlee said. "I thought we did a great job really digging in and forgetting about the third and dominated the fourth. But by then it's too late against a good team like them. You can't have these really bad quarters in this conference, everything was fine until that happened."
Beyonce Bea scored a season-high 25 points on 8 of 16 shooting and pulled down 12 rebounds for hers first double-double of the season.
"Beyonce was great tonight," Newlee said." "She was in attack mode they couldn't handle her. She took advantage of the looks she got and played with extreme confidence. I thought she had a great game both ways."
Louise Forsyth came off the bench to score 15 points and
Tiana Johnson scored 10 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
