Jayanne Palma makes the long trek from Bradford, England where she competed for North Halifax Grammar School. Palma enjoyed success in her hometown before joining the Vandals in the fall, winning County Cup with Yorkshire and receiving runner-up finishes twice. In 2019, She participated in the J5 Edinburg Tournament and recorded a win against Cristina Korakopoulos in the second round. Palma is in her first year as a chemical engineering major with plans to become an engineer following college.

Where are you from and what do you like best about your hometown?
I am from Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. What I like most about my hometown is the people. 

What drew you to Idaho?
It was a really nice place and I have only heard good things about the tennis program here.
 
What is your favorite memory of playing tennis?
Winning the county cup when I was younger. 

Do you have any personal goals for this upcoming season?
I want to gel with the team and get some good wins, and win the Big Sky.

Machine Gun Kelly because he seems like a cool guy.
