CHENEY, Wash. – The Idaho women's tennis team competed in their third fall tournament at the Eastern Washington Hidden Duals, Friday, Sept. 30 to Sunday, Oct. 2. 

The Vandals brought their top six players to compete in singles and doubles matches against EWU, Montana and Seattle U.
 
Each team played in a mixed singles and doubles format in the three-day tournament. Idaho won two out of three doubles rounds and one singles round over EWU. 

Annabel Davis, Valentina Rodas, Selin Sepken and Rachelle Starreveld combined for an 8-4 record in singles, each going 2-1 in their respective matches. 

In singles against Montana, the Vandals won three out of six matches. Davis won 6-3, 6-0 over UM's Aili Hietala, while Starreveld won in three sets (2-6, 6-4, 7-5) over Maria Goheen and Sepken earned a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory over Rosie Sterk  

UI had more success in a matchup against EWU, posting two doubles wins and taking three out of four matches in singles. Idaho's top three spots all earned victories. At No. 1, Davis defeated Leandra Nizetic (6-4, 6-2) while Rodas beat Renata Gabuzyan, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2. Starreveld posted her second win of the weekend, with a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 win over Kenzington Mann. 

Idaho will travel to Las Vegas to compete in the ITA Mountain Regional, Wednesday, Oct. 12 to Sunday, Oct. 16.
