MOSCOW, Idaho – Seven home matches highlight the 2023 spring schedule for the Idaho women's tennis team, as head coach Sanne Louwers announced Thursday.
The Vandals get things started on Feb. 2 at Air Force before the squad rounds out its week at Wyoming (Feb. 4). A trip to Nevada and Utah follows, as the Vandals go up against UNLV on Feb. 10 in Las Vegas and Utah Tech on Feb. 11 in St. George.
Fans will have their first chance to watch Idaho women's tennis at home on the
new surface inside the Kibbie Dome, starting Feb. 18 against Portland. A matchup at home against Lewis-Clark State College follows on Feb. 19.
Conference play begins with a match at Idaho State (Feb. 23) before returning to non-conference action two days later against Utah State, on Feb. 25 in Logan, Utah.
The month of March is a busy one for the Vandals, as the team will compete in three home matches and five dual competitions away from Moscow. The Silver and Gold will host Eastern Washington (Mar. 1), Northern Arizona (Mar. 10) and North Dakota (Mar. 17) inside the Kibbie Dome while road matches include trips to Gonzaga (Mar. 4), Cal State Northridge (Mar. 13), Montana State (Mar. 24), Montana (Mar. 26) and Oregon (Mar. 29) at a neutral site in Pullman.
Idaho will travel for its final road match of the regular season as they head to California to take on Sacramento State on Apr. 1.
Rounding out conference action, the Vandals will host Portland State on Apr. 14 and Weber State on Apr. 16 in Lewiston, Idaho at the LCSC Tennis Courts.
The top six teams in the conference standings will earn a bid to the Big Sky Championships in Phoenix, Ariz. for a three-day tournament, Apr. 27-29.
