Stokes on Cameo to Fundraise for Vandal Athletic Scholarships

MOSCOW, Idaho – Vandal Athletics is excited to announce that former Idaho track and field sprinter, four-time Olympian and member of the 'Cool Runnings' Jamaican Bobsled Team Chris Stokes has chosen the Vandal Scholarship Fund (VSF) as his charity of choice through the fan engagement platform Cameo.

"Before I had the courage to bobsled, I learned to be Brave and Bold in the Black and Gold," Stokes said. "I hope to bring some smiles and joy to you and your loved ones as we make sure that the University of Idaho continues to provide opportunities for student-athletes."

Stokes has already started donating 100% of his Cameo earnings to the VSF, providing athletic scholarships for Vandal student-athletes. He was inspired to join the VSF Cameo platform after seeing fellow Idaho Vandal Mark Schlereth give back through his appearances.

"We are thrilled and appreciative of the support Chris is willing to provide towards athletic scholarships," Idaho Director of Athletics Terry Gawlik said. "He is a great example of an international student-athlete that had a transformational experience being a Vandal and made a name for himself in his home country and internationally. We are grateful that he chose to use his platform and time to give back to the University of Idaho."

The graduation and holiday seasons are the perfect time for Vandal fans to take advantage of the new partnership. Vandal fans can book personalized video messages from Chris through Cameo by using this link. All Cameo videos start at $30.
