SPOKANE, Wash. - The Idaho men's tennis team was unable to extend their three-match win streak, falling to Gonzaga, 6-1 on Saturday at the Stevens Center.
The Vandals surrendered the doubles point to begin action, as the Zags earned victories at all three positions to take a 1-0 lead.
Idaho posted its only win at No. 3 singles, as sophomore
Matteo Masala earned a three-set win, 6-3, 2-6, 10-6 over Oliver Andersson. Masala improves to 5-2 in dual action and a perfect 4-0 at the No. 3 position.

Francisco Gay battled for three sets at No. 1 singles for the Vandals, ultimately falling to Sasha Trkulja, 6-7, 6-3, 3-10.
Idaho falls to 3-5 on the season while Gonzaga moves to 6-1 overall.
NEXT UP: The Vandals return to their home court next week to face Whitman College on Feb. 26. The match gets underway at 3 p.m.
