EUGENE, Ore. – Idaho women's tennis fell to Saint Mary's, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon.
The Vandals won its doubles match at the No. 3 position with duo
Andrea Redondo and
Saffron Dowse recording a 6-4 win over Olivia Rook and Stefanie Silva. Idaho was unable to grab another win at positions 1 or 2 as the Gaels went up 1-0.
Freshman
Ines Oliveira recorded her second win of the season to get the Vandals on the board. Oliveira earned the only point for Idaho with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Julia Ronney at the No. 2 position.
NEXT UP: The Vandals return to action next week to open up Big Sky play, as Montana State and Montana will visit Idaho's home court in Lewiston. UI will first host the Bobcats on March 4 at 3 p.m. before finishing out the week against the Grizzlies on March 6 at 10 a.m.
