Box Score LEWISTON, Idaho -- The University of Idaho Women's tennis team opened Big Sky Conference action with a 5-2 win over Montana State on Saturday afternoon.

The Vandals won all three matches in doubles and captured four out of six singles matches to capture a 5-2 victory.

Jayanne Palma and Melissa Huchet started off doubles action in the No. 2 spot, earning a 6-3 win over JJ Chen and Maria Villarejo. Andrea Redondo and Saffron Dowse wrapped up the doubles point after defeating Jazmin Lerman and Andrea Cuquerella 6-4 to put the Vandals up 1-0 moving into singles play. 

In singles action, Ines Oliveira and Ke Syuan Jhang each recorded two-set sweeps, adding two points to Idaho's score. The Bobcats won in the No. 4 position for their first singles win. 

Oliveira defeated Marta Garcia-Reboredo 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 2 spot while teammate Jhang topped Villarejo, 6-4, 6-4. 

Huchet clinched the fourth point at No. 2 singles in come from behind fashion, defeating Mirte Van Baelen, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4. Nicole Horacek dropped set one and fought back to grab set two and three to earn the victory, 3-6, 6-4, 10-4. 

The Vandals continue conference action when Montana visits on Sunday for a 10 a.m. start time.
