IRVING, Texas - Idaho football set a program record with four student-athletes named to the Hampshire Honor Society by the National Football Foundation Wednesday.
Michael Beaudry,
Tyrese Dedmon,
Trase LeTexier, and
Kayode Rufai represented the University of Idaho by maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better throughout their college careers.
Beaudry started seven games at quarterback in the fall of 2021 and earned his master's degree in public administration with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Dedmon, a starting defensive back also earned his master's degree in public administration with a GPA of 3.25. Starting tight end
Trase LeTexier earned his master's in movement science & leisure science with a 4.0 GPA. Defensive lineman Rufai maintained a 3.33 GPA earning a degree in finance and marketing analytics.
The Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of the NCAA, NAIA, and sprint football who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers. An elite group of 1,559 players from 313 schools qualified for membership in the Society's 16th year.
With four Vandals on this season's list, 15 Idaho student-athletes have now been honored in 16 years.
