SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Jose Suryadinata finished three-over on the day and two over for the tournament to finish in a tie for second place and earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Big Sky Championship at the Talking Stick Resort North Course, Wednesday.
Suryadinata's performance of 212 led the Vandals to a fifth-place finish with a three-round score of 871 in a very tight field.
Seven strokes separated the Vandals and first-place Weber State (864). Northern Colorado finished second with a score of 865, Sacramento State was third with a score of 866 and Binghamton was third with a score of 871.
Colt Sherrell finished tied for eighth with a three-round score of 217.
Tommy McKenzie finished 17th with a three-round score of 220.
"I am proud of the fight out there. We were in an unfamiliar position and didn't respond as well as we needed to and that is on me," Nuhn said. "I need to put our guys in positions where they are used to being uncomfortable. I was really happy to see Tommy play some solid golf. I think Jose showed that he is one of the best players in the league and I think he is motivated to prove that he is the best."
Jack Plaster finished with a score of 225 for 27th place and
T.J. Patterson finished 34th with a score of 237.
