WOLCOTT, Colo. – The Vandal women's golf team climbed two pots on the team standings to finish 15th at the Golfweek Classic Wednesday at the Red Sky Golf Club Fazio Course.
The Vandals were spurred up the standings by
Nattavadee Khunsri who carded a four-under 68, including seven birdies on the round. It was tied for the fifth-lowest round of the tournament in a field that included 100 golfers.
Vicky Tsai tallied a two-under 70 to jump into the top-15 in the tough field. She finished tied for 13th at one-over for the tournament with a three-round score of 217.
Yvonne Vinceri finished T60 with a three-round score of 227, Khunsri finished T69 with a three-round score of 229.
Jenna Bruggeman finished T84 with a score of 236 and
Boram Jung finished T9 with a score of 238.
The Vandals tallied a third-round score of 290, to move up from 17th to 15th, just behind Rutgers and ahead of fellow Big Sky school Northern Colorado.

Kyndall Newman competed as an individual competitor at the Eagle Invite at the Indian Canyon Golf Course in Spokane and finished T3 with a three-round score of 217. She finished with a one-over 73 Wednesday in her final round.
She finished two strokes behind tournament champion Scarlet Weidig-Velazquez of Montana State.
The Vandals are back in action Monday and Tuesday at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invite hosted by Seattle U at the Tacoma Country & Golf Club in Lakewood, Washington.
