Bea Named Big Sky Player of the Week

MOSCOW, Idaho – Beyonce Bea was named Big Sky Player of the Week for the third time this season following an undefeated weekend of conference play. Bea had a standout opening weekend of conference play leading the Idaho women's basketball team to a Montana school sweep at home. She started the weekend against Montana State, tallying 20 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Her first layup of the game marked her 1,500th career point, making her the 10th Vandal to reach this milestone. Bea shot 7-14 (.500) from the field and 5-7 (.714) from the line.
 
Bea rounded out the weekend with one of her best games of the season against Montana, tallying 32 points, nine rebounds, and five blocks. Bea shot 10-18 (.556) from the field and 9-10 (.900) from the line. Bea was only two points shy from tying her season high and sits at sixth all time at Idaho for blocks with 107. She also moved up into the top-10 for career rebounds with 752.
 
The Vandals are now 6-7 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. Idaho hopes to keep the momentum rolling as they head to Sacramento State and Portland State this weekend.
