POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho women's tennis team fell on the road to Idaho State, 6-1, on Thursday afternoon. 

The Vandals were unable to secure a win in doubles play, as Idaho State grabbed wins at all three positions to go up 1-0 to start play. 

Sophomore Annabel Davis recorded her team-leading fourth singles win of the season and first victory at No. 1 to put Idaho on the board. She earned a 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 victory over Idaho State's Hana Cho.

Valentina Rodas and Selin Sepken both won their opening sets at No. 2 and No. 5, respectively, but the Bengals clawed back to earn three-set victories on each court.

The Vandals take Friday off before returning to dual action on Saturday to take on Utah State. Match play is scheduled for 10 a.m. Pacific Time from  Sports Academy & Racquet Club in Logan, Utah.
