MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho women's tennis and head coach Sanne Louwers announced the signing of incoming freshman Naomi Schraeder for the 2023-24 season. 

Schraeder, a Kelowna, Canada native will cross the border to compete in a Vandal uniform after competing at Kelowna Secondary School. She put together an impressive senior campaign, finishing with an undefeated record in singles and doubles play, and led the Owls to an Okanagan Valley Triple-A championship. 

Schraeder also found success in multiple summer junior-level tournaments, including a runner-up finish at a four-star tournament hosted by Tennis Canada in 2022. She upset the top-seeded Havana Kadi in the semifinal before falling in a three-set thriller in the championship match.
