COLFAX, Wash. - The Idaho cross country teams capped off their second meet of the fall season at the Cougar Classic Invitational with another second-place finish from the Idaho men in the 8K, and third for the women running the 6K.
Senior
Sam Fulbright led the way for the Vandal men capturing a new PR in the 8K at 24:33.8 which landed him sixth among all racers.
Shea Mattson also earned a spot in the top 10, less than two seconds behind Fulbright at 24:35.7 and finishing eighth.
Tim Stevens helped the Vandals in 13th place at a 24:54.6 mark and
Miles Ferguson secured 20th at 25:07.5.
Leah Holmgren once again bagged a top-five finish completing the 6K at 21:30.1 earning fourth.
McKenna Kozeluh shone in just her second collegiate race taking eighth place at 21:42.6. Freshman
Constanze Paoli also secured a spot in the top 10 finishing at 21:51.0 which locked up tenth place in her first college meet.
The Vandals head west next week for the Bill Dellinger Invite hosted by the Oregon Ducks in Eugene, Oregon on Friday, Sept. 22.
