MOSCOW, Idaho -- The Idaho volleyball team (1-19, 0-9 BSC) fell in three sets to Northern Colorado (17-5, 8-1 BSC), 14-25, 15-25, 16-25, Saturday afternoon at Memorial Gym.
For the third match in a row, senior outside hitter
Taylor Brickey led the team in kills with 13.
Ceren Sert and
Chiara Gennari paced the Silver and Gold on defense, finishing with three blocks each.Â
Graduate setter
Miya Carmichael logged her third consecutive 20+ assist match, recording 21 to lead Idaho.
The Bears hit .434, posted 11 service aces and totaled seven blocks in the effort. UNC's Brynn Reines led the team on offense with 10 kills while setter Syd Cole tallied 25 assists.Â
After falling in the contest's opening frame, 25-14, the Vandals kept within striking distance midway through the second set (8-10). The Bears would use a 7-0 run to help earn a 25-15 victory before carrying the momentum into the third, sealing the deal with a 25-16 win.Â
Up next, the Vandals return to their road schedule for a pair of matches next week against Sacramento State (Oct. 31) and Portland State (Nov. 2).
