MOSCOW, Idaho -- Idaho volleyball (1-19, 0-9 BSC) heads back on the road for two matches on the West Coast at Sacramento State (12-9, 5-3 BSC) and Portland State (4-15, 3-5 BSC).
For the second time around, the Vandals will match up with the Hornets on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. and the Vikings on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 5 p.m.

ABOUT IDAHO
- The Vandals suffered two sweeps last week to Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado at home.
- Taylor Brickey collected a combined team-best 19 kills over two matches. The senior outside hitter now ranks second on the team with 131 kills.
- Libero Ada Isik totaled her sixth double-digit dig effort with 13 against Northern Arizona. The freshman leads the team with 150 digs.
- Two Vandals have recorded at least 200 assists this season. Miya Carmichael leads the squad with 241 while Natalia Wielgus ranks second with 231. Wielgus ranks first amongst her teammates and 10th in the conference with 5.02 assists per set.
SCOUTING THE HORNETS
- Sac State dropped two road matches last week with a 2-3 loss to Weber State before most recently dropping a game at Idaho State, 1-3.
- The Hornet attack is led by Bridgette Smith and Caitlin Volkmann. Smith is tops in the league in kills per set (3.83) while her counterpart, Volkmann ranks first in conference matches in kills per set with 4.15. The duo has led the team in kills in all but one match this season.
- Sac State's offense is set up by Kate Doorn and Hailey Plugge. The pair have each eclipsed 1,000 assists in their Hornet career with Doorn owning 1,209 assists and Plugge recording 1,012. Doorn has succeeded on both ends with double-doubles in three of her last four matches.
- As a team, the Hornets rank top three in a handful of stat categories in the conference, including first in aces per set (1.90), third in hitting percentage (.224), third in kills per set (12.9), third in team assists (953) and third in team kills (1,045).
SCOUTING THE VIKINGS
- Portland State looks to bounce back off three consecutive losses, including a pair on the road against Idaho State (0-3) and Weber State (1-3) last week.
- Carisa Barron is averaging 3.50 kills per set in conference play while recording double-figure kills in six of the eight conference contests to lead the team.
- Middle blockers Naomi White and Reese Biesemeyer have been efficient on the attack this season, ranking fourth (.339) and fifth (.335) in the Big Sky in hitting percentage, respectively. White's .392 hitting percentage across Big Sky play ranks first.
- Setter Ella Hartford holds the third-highest assists per set average (8.84) in the Big Sky.
