MOSCOW, Idaho – The Vandals fell to the University of Montana in three sets Saturday evening at Memorial Gym.  
Julia Dickeson led the Vandals offensively with a career-high 10 kills and three digs. 
Natalia Wielgus led the team in assists with 16 while 
Emma Patterson returned to play and recorded four blocks.  
Montana takes the first set, 25-15. The Vandals faced difficulty building offensive momentum, giving Montana an early 4-0 run in the first set. Idaho responded by scoring four of the next six points to make it a two-point game (4-6) before the Lady Griz used another four-point stretch to increase their lead. Later on, UM used a 6-0 to make a 19-9 deficit that the home team could not come back from.  
Montana seized the second set, 25-11, jumping out to an 8-1 lead and maintaining control throughout. The Grizzlies kept their offensive momentum rolling, finishing with 13 kills to Idaho's 7. 
Julia Dickeson was the lone bright spot for the Vandals, accounting for all seven of their kills in the set. 
The Grizzlies claimed the final set, 25-23. The Vandals pulled ahead to begin set three, initiating the first three points to take a 3-0 lead. Montana closed the deficit and tied it at 7-7 before both teams went back and forth. Four lead changes and six ties followed before Montana used an 8-1 run to break open the game. Idaho came back with a 5-0 rub, but Montana finished the job, 25-23.
