MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho men's tennis team (4-10, 2-1 BSC) travels to Ogden, Utah to face Weber State on Friday, March 29th, at noon PST.
Friday's dual is part of a doubleheader with the Vandal women's team, as they open action at 10 a.m. PST.
The Vandals completed a three-match road trip at the Boise State Spring Tournament last week, where they recorded a 1-2 mark. The team fell to Montana (0-4) and #69 Utah State (0-4) before earning a 5-0 victory against Eastern Washington.
Mario Duron leads the Vandals in singles with a 6-4 overall record and a perfect 3-0 mark in conference. Since returning from injury against Seattle U,
Francisco Gay has been victorious in all four of his matches while competing at No. 1 singles.
Matteo Masala and
Yu-Shun Lai hold a team best 6-4 mark in doubles competition.
Series History
Idaho holds a 17-5 record over Weber State, dating back to the 1995 season. Over the last five meetings, Idaho has come out victorious all but once. In their most recent matchup, the Vandals dominated the Wildcats 6-1.
Scouting Wildcats
The Wildcats currently own a 5-10 overall mark and 1-1 conference record. After an eight-match losing streak, Weber State got back in the win column with a 5-2 victory over Portland State.
