Vandal Volleyball Reveals 2024 Schedule

MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho volleyball team has announced its 2024 schedule with 27 regular season matches, including eight home meets inside Memorial Gym. 

The 2024 season will officially open on the road at the Alabama A&M Tournament from Aug. 30-31 in Huntsville. The opening season tournament will see Idaho face off against the host, Alabama A&M on Aug. 30 (1 p.m. PST) followed by Oral Roberts (8 a.m. PST) and UT Chattanooga (1 p.m. PST) on Aug. 31. 

A trip to Cedar City, Utah follows with three matches over two days (Sept. 6-7) at the Southern Utah Tournament. The Vandals go up against UC Riverside at 9 a.m. PST and Southern Utah at noon PST on Sept. 6 before finishing out match play with a second straight meeting against Southern Utah on Sept. 7 (10 a.m. PST). 

Following that, Idaho will make a trip to Loudonville, New York, for the Siena College Tournament from Sept. 13-14. The Vandals jumpstart tournament play with a matchup against Siena College on Sept. 13 at 2:30 p.m. PST before facing New Jersey Institute of Technology (8 a.m.) and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opponent Syracuse on Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. PST.
 
Idaho wraps up non-conference play in Valley Falls, South Carolina at the USC Upstate Tournament. The Vandals face West Georgia on Sept. 20 (11 a.m. PST) before closing non-conference play against the host USC Upstate on Sept. 21 (8 a.m. PST).
   
Big Sky Conference play begins Sept. 26 with the Vandals hosting their first match of 2024 against Portland State inside Mem Gym. Following its home opener, Idaho will make its way to Ogden to face defending conference champions, Weber State on Sept. 28.  

The Vandals return home to go head-to-head against Eastern Washington on Oct. 5. Idaho will trek east to face two more regional rivals in Montana (Oct.10) and Montana State (Oct. 12). 

A four-match home stand follows as UI hosts Weber State (Oct. 17), Idaho State (Oct. 19), Northern Arizona (Oct. 24) and Northern Colorado (Oct. 26). The first round of conference matches closes on the road against Sacramento State on Oct. 31. 

UI will play in six matches throughout November to end the regular season, starting with its second go around with Portland State on Nov. 2. Idaho returns to Moscow for their final home matches of the season against Montana State (Nov. 7) and Montana (Nov. 9) before regular season play closes on the road. The Vandals will head to Eastern Washington (Nov. 16), Northern Colorado (Nov. 21) and Northern Arizona (Nov. 23) for their final push to clinch a spot at the conference tournament. 

The top six Big Sky finishers will earn a spot in the Big Sky Tournament, Nov. 27-29 in Sacramento. The winner will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
