LEWISTON, Idaho – Idaho cross country closed its 2025 regular season Saturday at the Lewis-Clark Invitational in Lewiston.
For the third time in four meets,
Alex Terry led the Black and Gold, claiming a third-place finish in 17:04. Fellow sophomore
Jesse Redding followed in fifth, besting her time at last week's Charles Bowles Invitational by over 10 seconds, setting her new personal record for the 5K at 17:09. Senior
Abigail Thomas completed the course in 17:33, taking 10th.
Pia Kircher and Mary Nakamura closed the scoring for Idaho, placing 18th and 20th, respectively, powering the Vandals to second in the team competition, just six points behind meet winners Gonzaga.
The Idaho men were led by Kristian Borve for the second straight week. The reigning Big Sky Cross Country Athlete of the Week honoree placed fifth, running a 24:03 8K in his second race as a Vandal.
Miles Ferguson continued his strong senior campaign, finishing just five seconds behind the Norwegian freshman and taking seventh.
Zac Knapp,
James Hodgson, and
Tyler Graff capped the scoring for UI, as the Vandals took third.
UP NEXT
The Vandals will now take a couple of weeks off from competition to prepare for the 2025 Big Sky Cross Country Championships in Bozeman, Montana, on November 1.
