MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho Cross Country continues its 2025 season Saturday at the Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem, Oregon. The Men's 8K will begin at 9:30 a.m. PDT, while the Women's 5K is set to start at 10:20 a.m. PDT.
The Vandals will be up against a variety of teams, including fellow Big Sky member Portland State, reigning NAIA men's national champion College of Idaho, along with a variety of other schools from every level of the college cross country ladder.
Coming off their first meet victory since 2023, the Vandal women look to keep the momentum rolling at their third meet of the season.
Alex Terry has become a runner to watch in the Big Sky following her first career meet win at the Montana Invite. Terry's 5K time of 18:08.4 is the third fastest in the conference this year. Fellow sophomores
Jesse Redding and
Pia Kircher, along with senior
Abigail Thomas, have also had quality finishes for the Vandals. Redding placed third at September's Montana Invite, with Kircher and Thomas each securing places in the top 10.
Mary Nakumura,
Sara Casebolt,
Malia Chipouras, and
Hannah Ward round off Idaho's representatives in Salem.
The men's team has also had a fast start to their 2025 campaign with back-to-back second place finishes. Senior
Miles Ferguson and redshirt junior
Zac Knapp are coming off good meets for the Vandals, most recently top-six finishes in Missoula. Nine other runners will be joining them for Saturday's 8K, including
Tyler Graff,
James Hodgson, and the majority of the freshmen on the roster.
