Portland State (0-7, 0-3) vs. Idaho (2-5, 0-3)
MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals (2-5, 0-3) are back in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome for the fourth of six home games this season, as they face off against the Portland State Vikings (0-7, 0-3). The Vandals will be celebrating Military Appreciation & Leadership Weekend. Austin Getz and Adam Shackleford will be on the call locally on SWX and streaming on ESPN+, while Dennis Patchin and Trent Cowan can be heard over the airwaves on the Vandal Football Radio Network.
The two northwest teams have previously played each other 17 times in series history dating back to 1970. Idaho has a 15-2 overall record against the Vikings, has won the last three meetings, and has beaten PSU in five of the last six meetings between the two teams.
It has been a tough year for the Vikings. Portland State has struggled to stop teams and has also struggled to score, ranking last in the Big Sky Conference in total offense and in total defense. The Viking pass defense has been solid, allowing less than 200 yards per game this season, but the rush defense has had issues stopping opponents' run games, give up about 280 yards per contest.
