MOSCOW, Idaho - With the regular season in the books, it's now time for Idaho Cross Country to start its title run at the Big Sky Championships in Bozeman, Montana. The men's and women's teams will compete on November 1 against their nine fellow league schools. The women's 5K is set to start at 11:00 A.M MT., and the men's 8K will follow at 11:35 A.M MT.
The Vandal women are coming off a second-place team finish at the Lewis-Clark Invitational, where
Alex Terry claimed the Big Sky Athlete of the Week nod following her top-three overall performance. Fellow sophomore
Jesse Redding is also coming into the weekend hot, after posting a new 5K PR of 17:09.0 in Lewiston.
The men will take nine runners to the conference championship, including freshman Kristian Borve, who took home Big Sky Athlete of the Week honors after his first career meet in Salem, Ore.. Senior
Miles Ferguson is also a runner to watch coming into the weekend after setting a new 8K personal best of 24:08.0, also a top-eight mark in the race. The Vandal men have had consistent top-two finishes throughout the regular season, posting their best average team finish in more than 10 years.
