MOSCOW, Idaho– The University of Idaho women's tennis team is set to compete in the Gonzaga Invitational in Spokane, Washington, from October 31 through November 2.
The tournament will feature a combination of singles and doubles play, offering valuable competitive experience as the Vandals continue their fall season.
According to the event format, singles matches will be played as best two-out-of-three tiebreak sets, while consolation or extra matches will replace the third set with a 10-point tiebreaker. Doubles competition will consist of a single tiebreak set, with a 12-point tiebreak played at 6–6. All matches will be played using Wilson tennis balls.
The projected schedule includes two doubles matches and one singles match on Friday, followed by one doubles and two singles matches on Saturday. The weekend will conclude on Sunday with one doubles and one singles match.
The Gonzaga Invitational will provide an opportunity for the Vandals to test their depth and build momentum heading into the remainder of the fall slate.
