SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Idaho cross country closed its 2025 season Friday at the NCAA West Regional. The women's team finished 15th, with the men's squad completing their season in 23rd. 

Jesse Redding led the way for the Vandals, completing the 6K course in 21:13.7, a personal best for the distance. Alex Terry finished just over 30 seconds behind at 21:48.3, with Mary Nakamura and Abigail Thomas on each other's tails just over 10 seconds behind Terry. Sophomore Pia Kircher rounded out the scoring for the Black and Gold. Idaho's 15th-place finish as a team put them ahead of the other three Big Sky schools in their region, and five spots in front of future conference mate Utah Tech. 

Kristian Borve put a nice cap on his rookie season in Moscow, crossing the line in 31:17.1 and gaining nearly 10 positions in the last mile. In his final cross meet as a Vandal, Miles Ferguson shaved close to 40 seconds off his 10K personal record. James Hodgson ran a sub-32-minute time for the first time in his college career, with Zac Knapp finishing at exactly the 32-minute mark. On the men's side, Idaho also led the Big Sky contingent, finishing just ahead of Utah Tech and Eastern Washington.
