MOSCOW, Idaho - On a Sunday afternoon showdown, Idaho women's basketball once again reigned victorious, this time over CSUN with a final score of 89-56.

The Idaho women's basketball team initially found themselves in a back-and-forth battle with the Matadors until Mary McMorris buried a three-pointer off a dime by Ana Beatriz Passos Alves da Silva. The Vandals then began to go on a nine-point run that was capped off by a step-back jumper by Hope Hassmann to extend the Vandal lead to 22-8. At the end of the first, the mighty Vandals led 11-28 and never looked back.

The second and third quarters told a similar story for the Brave and Bold. At the end of the third quarter, Arthur Moreira's squad had a 25-point lead 74-49. Idaho never took its foot off the gas and its balanced offensive attack with six players scoring in double figures wouldn't be stopped. The Vandals coasted to an 89-56 win, extending its winning streak to four to close out an undefeated homestand in front of over 1,000 fans in ICCU Arena.

UP NEXT: The Vandals hit the road to compete in the UC Irvine tournament in sunny California where they are set to battle with Colgate Nov. 28 at 4:30 p.m. and Wichita State the following day at 2 p.m.
