MOSCOW, ID - After securing the first victory of conference play in sweeping fashion, Idaho men's tennis is hitting the road once again, returning to sunny California for a pair of road matches in San Luis Obispo.
The first match, on Saturday, Feb. 22, will take place at 12:00 PM against BYU, who has begun their season with a strong 7-1 record. The Cougars have claimed their six victories in a dominant manner, losing no more than one point in all but their 1-6 loss against Oregon.
BYU has plenty of experience with the Big Sky this season, opening the year with 6-1 wins over Weber State and Portland State. Just last weekend, the Cougars also claimed a 6-1 victory over the Idaho State Bengals.
Following Saturday's action, the Vandals will face off with the host Cal Poly Mustangs on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 10:00 AM. Cal Poly, a Big West foe, has a 2-5 record on the year with a strong 4-1 win over Gonzaga. The Mustangs also have familiarity with the Big Sky Conference, getting their first win of the year against Sacramento State and falling to Northern Arizona in Denver.
