PORTLAND - Three Vandals scored in double figures and held off Portland State in a back-and-forth battle to pick up a 66-62 road win over the Vikings in Big Sky women's basketball action, Friday.

The two teams traded leads in the first quarter before the Vandals took a 9-8 advantage on a layup by
Anja Bukvic with 4:30 remaining in the opening frame. Idaho never trailed again, but Portland State never allowed the lead to get to double digits and tied the game at 30 late in the second quarter before Idaho took a 32-30 lead into the half.

The Vandals extended the lead to 48-41 at the end of the third quarter, but the Vikings cut the lead to 58-56 with 2:03 to play in the game before Bukvic hit a key three-pointer to extend the lead to five and help the Vandals close out the win.

Bukvic scored a game-high 17 points while
Rosie Schweizer added a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Jennifer Aadland added 11 points.

As a team, the Vandals tallied 20 assists on 26 made shots.
Olivia Nelson tallied a team-high five assists but scored nine points to end her streak of double-digit games at nine games.

Idaho was 26-61 (42.6%) from the field and turned the ball over just eight times.

The win puts Idaho at 16 wins, surpassing last year's season total with seven regular-season games still on the slate. The Vandals travel to Sacramento State for an afternoon game at 1 p.m. Saturday. Â
