MOSCOW, Idaho - Coach Alex Pribble and the Idaho Basketball staff are thrilled to announce their second signing of the spring recruiting slate and the third overall addition to the team for the 2025-26 season. After a visit to Moscow and getting to see the ICCU Arena up close, Seth Joba has announced his commitment and signed with the Vandals.
Joba, a rising junior, comes to Idaho by way of the University of Vermont, where he spent two seasons with the Catamounts. He appeared in 42 games for the green and gold and established himself as a versatile piece in their offense that can score from the perimeter or in the paint.
Seth will join a Vandals squad suited well to his talents, as he has shot 32.5% from deep and 36.4% from the floor in two seasons in Burlington, providing a dynamic weapon for Pribble and his staff as they pursue a Big Sky championship, a sentiment echoed by the head man himself.
"Seth is a dynamic front court player with a special mix of skill and athleticism," said Pribble. "His versatility will fit perfectly within our system and we will also provide some much needed size and physicality."
Joba was initially drawn to UI by one of his new teammates, and quickly found a home in Moscow when he stepped foot on campus for his official visit.
"I'm extremely excited to be a Vandal," said Joba. "At first I was interested because I played with Miles Klapper at [Prep School] Bridgeton [Academy] and I loved playing with him. But then I got in contact with the coaching staff and was loving everything they had to say, and my visit solidified that. It felt like home as soon as I got here. I feel like I'd be a great fit in this program, and I love the way they play."
The excitement is mutual from Joba and the coaching staff, and coach Pribble knows that the Vandal family will love seeing him play in the greatest setting in college basketball. Seth is ready to get to work and he has a goal in mind that the Moscow faithful will love.
"I can't wait to get to work and win a Big Sky championship!"
