MOSCOW, Idaho - Valentina Rodas Carcamo and
Sam Johnson have been selected as April's Student-Athletes of the Month by Vandal Academic Services, with support from P1FCU.
Valentina Rodas Cárcamo is a junior on the women's tennis team and is currently majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing. She has demonstrated incredible resilience throughout her academic and athletic career. Her dedication and perseverance have made her an invaluable member of her team and an excellent student.
"Valentina has had to work hard to get to where she is academically, and it has been incredible to watch her grow. She is a pleasure to work with, and I am excited to see what the future holds for her," said academics coordinator Stacey Hyde, who nominated Valentina.
Sam Johnson is a junior on the men's golf team majoring in Exercise Science and Pre-Physical Therapy. Originally from Congleton, England, Sam is an international student who excels in a demanding career. Despite the demands of his rigorous program, he is active on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and contributes positively to his fellow athletes.
"Sam is a well-rounded student-athlete. He has a challenging career and still finds time to be an active member of the SAAC," said Hyde. "It's fantastic to see Sam achieve his academic goals and participate with his fellow athletes!"
