MOSCOW, Idaho – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its Academic All-District teams on Tuesday.
Annabel Davis and
Naomi Schraeder of Idaho Vandals Women's Tennis were both selected as recipients of the prestigious award – Idaho tied for the lead in the Big Sky Conference with two honorees.
Academic All-District recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performance in the classroom and their performance on the field of play.
On the court, Davis led the Vandals with a 5-2 record in Big Sky action. She played on the number one court on 11 different occasions this season and closed her year out going 7-3 in her final ten matches. Davis has previously been named to the Big Sky All-Academic Team as well as the First Team All-Conference. Davis will be considered for the Academic All-American award which will be announced by CSC on June 3.
Schraeder tied with
Valentina Rodas for the best record on the team at 14-5 and going 5-2 during conference play. She was the only player in the conference (min. five matches) to go undefeated in singles, capping off the season with a 5-0 record. In 2024, she was named to the Second Team All-Big Sky, and she was also named to the Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team.
