Soccer Battles Boise State in Close Contest

MOSCOW, Idaho - In their final non-conference match of the 2025-26 season, Idaho faced off against in-state rival Boise State in a close 1-1 contest.

Straight from the kick, the Vandals and the Broncos shared possession, shuffling from goal to goal. Idaho found a handful of attacking plays to bring them to the top third, but were stopped by Boise. The Broncos would continue to attempt to counter, getting off five shots on frame, resulting in five saves from Vandal goalkeeper Paula Flores.

With a clean 0-0 slate moving into the second half, an early header off a corner kick from Bella Gissendanner to Annika Farley gave the Vandals the lead. Boise quickly came back from this, getting their own goal two minutes later.

Both squads continued to make offensive strides for the remainder of the game, with neither being able to find the net, resulting in a 1-1 match.
