Ida Johansson was a bright spot for the Idaho Vandals Women's Tennis team it its opening match against Washington State, but UI ultimately fell flat against the Cougars by a score of 1-6.
The match started in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome with the Cougars taking all three sets in doubles play to take the doubles point. In singles play, Johansson comfortably won her match, running away from the competition with a 6-2, 6-0 on court six.
On court three, sophomore
Hanna Koprowska took the second set against WSU's Yura Nakagawa, and on court four, Idaho's
Chenyue Xu won the first set.
