MOSCOW, Idaho— Idaho Women's Tennis travels to Eugene, Ore., this weekend for the Duck Invitational hosted by the Oregon Ducks. The Vandals will take on the hosts, Saturday the 24
th, at 10 a.m. and New Mexico State on Sunday the 25
th, at the same time. Idaho's match against Oregon can be seen on
Playsight.
After starting the 2026 campaign last weekend, the Vandals look to get their first win of the season. Sophomore Ida Johannson from Udea, Sweden was dominant in her singles match last week, winning 6-2, 6-0. She plans to carry this momentum over as she prepares to take on the Ducks and Aggies this weekend.
Iowa transfer
Jessica Matthews from London, England, will be playing on our one court. Matthews competed in the main draw of the Wimbledon Junior Grand Slam and received a bronze medal while representing Team England in the World School Championships. Idaho looks forward to displaying her experience as the season unravels.
This will be Idaho's first away non-conference tournament of the season, kickstarting a three-week road stretch before hosting the Vandal Invite over Valentines Day weekend.
