CORVALLIS, Ore.  – Idaho men's golf wrapped up play at the OSU Invitational; hosted by Oregon State University at the Trysting Tree in Corvallis Oregon, posting a three-round total of 284-284-288 (+4).

Henrik Koglin, carded rounds of 73-70-70 for a 204 (-2) to lead the squad. Carter Frisby ended up with a 70-70-73 (E), while Charley Simpson shot 71-71-74 (+3). To end the group, Brae Rogalczyk shot 72-73-73 (+5) and Ben Buchanan answered with a 71-73-74 (+5).

Competing as an individual, Jacob Vasquez shot a 72-73-75 (+7) in his first competition of the year.

"I'm proud of the guy's resilience this week at the challenging Trysting Tree golf course. It's a longer test of golf, and I thought we hit a lot of quality mid irons, as well as got off the tee box a little bit better than we had done last week." Says head Coach David Nuhn. "Henrik was rock solid for us, and I felt that after a slow start to the year, being able to win the qualifier last week with a great round at home really gave him some confidence to go perform well in Corvallis. Carter was steady this week, and I liked what we saw from Jacob Vazquez in the Individual spot as well, playing in his first event as a Vandal. If you look at the scoring, it was a very bunched leaderboard. When you count 12 round of golf, only 1.5 shots per round goes a long way. So, 1 fewer 3-putt, or one more up and down, can mean all the difference in these events against these great teams. We continue to work at it in the moments in between and will be excited to try again next week in Stockton, CA at Pacific's event. Go Vandals"

Idaho returns to play next week at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational playing at The Reserve at Spanos Park - Stockton, California on October 12th - 13th.
