MOSCOW, Idaho - Ā The Idaho Vandals men's basketball team struggled to find an offensive groove and had trouble containing Weber State, falling 83-72 Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENEDĀ
The Wildcats seized momentum early, building a 13–6 advantage by the first media timeout and immediately setting the pace. WSU controlled the flow from that point on, converting open looks and taking advantage of Idaho's defensive breakdowns. UI struggled to put together sustained scoring runs in the opening half and couldn't string together the defensive stops necessary to swing the momentum before the break.Ā

Isaiah Brickner provided a spark in the second half, pouring in 12 points on a 22-7 UI run to narrow the Wildcats' lead to less than 10. The late offensive push helped generate energy in ICCU Arena, but each rally was quickly countered by Weber State's steady execution.

Every Idaho surge was met with an answer, as the Wildcats maintained their tempo and physical presence on both ends of the court. The boys in Black and Gold continued to push, posting an 11-2 streak after the under four-minute media timeout to get back within eight. The early deficit ultimately proved too much to overcome, however, as Idaho fell 72-83.
